Infectious Disease

Infectious illnesses and disease are caused by microorganisms such as viruses, bacteria, fungi, and parasites, which can be spread from person to person or transmitted through contaminated food, water, or other sources.

That’s why New Day Diagnostics is constantly innovating and adding to our line of testing products:

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. It affects people of all ages and can be a serious health concern for the elderly and those with underlying health conditions.

The Biocard™ COVID-19 test is easy to use with a simple nasal swab that provides results in just 10 minutes. Our test is designed to provide a high level of accuracy while detecting multiple variants. The test is ideal for in-home use by consumers and a variety of healthcare settings.

Respiratory Viruses – Multiplex Test

Three common illnesses – COVID-19, Influenza, and RSV – share similar symptoms, which makes correct diagnosis essential to treatment.

Our Multiplex Biocard™ SARS-CoV-2 + Flu A + Flu B + RSV test uses one simple nasal swab and combo test card to identify which disease is present, so patients and providers can make the best care decisions.

To prevent the spread of infectious diseases, it is important to follow some basic preventive measures:

  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water, especially before eating, after using the bathroom, and after sneezing, coughing, or blowing your nose.

  • Avoid close contact with sick individuals, and stay home if you are sick.

  • Get vaccinated to protect yourself and others from vaccine-preventable diseases.

  • Avoid touching your face, especially your eyes, nose, and mouth, to prevent the transmission of germs.

  • Practice safe food handling by cooking food to the appropriate temperature, washing your hands before and after handling food, and storing food properly.

†Ct values = cycle threshold value. The higher the Ct, the more PCR cycles it took to identify the presence of the antigen. This means that a higher Ct indicates lower viral loads.
